Accomodations
The first thing one notices in
stepping below on Salome, is that you don't feel like you have
stepped "down below" into a sailboat. The main salon is an immediate
surprise in it's openess and brightness. Measuring almost 12'x12' it
feels more like a small living room than a boat cabin. Surrounded by
large tempered glass offshore windows, one has a 270deg panoramic
view of what's around you. Looking aft, this salon is open to the
gallee, which is 2 steps down and aft, making for a main living area
that is half the total accomodation space on board. This is where
you'll spend most of your time in a social setting. The inside
control station is port and froward, with a matching chart desk on
the starboard side. Below the waist height windows on the main salon
are featured storage lockers and drawers both port and starboard
which encompass the width of the side decks. Also on this level
tucked into one of these storage locations is the compact all in one
washer dryer
Stepping down 2 steps and forward
through the centerline companionway from the main salon are the 2
main accommodation cabins. The port side cabin has the extra large
double bunk, adjoining larger head, hanging locker, chest of drawers
and access to the standalone shower.
Centerline companionway and to
starboard is the second double cabin, again with it's chest of
drawers, hanging locker, through which leads entry to the second
head, of which access is gained to the forepeak cabin with it's over
and under bunks. The second head also has access to the shower,
vanity, sink, and locker space.
It's important to note that all
accommodation cabins have at least 2 opening hull ports and a large
24"x24" opening deck, ventilation/escape hatch. |
